Who we are
TyreAid UK is a fully mobile tyre, breakdown and roadside service. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, call or WhatsApp us on 0330 043 6598 or email tyreaid.uk@gmail.com.
What information we collect
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or through the forms on this website, we may collect:
- your name and phone number
- where you are, or where your vehicle is (including a pick-up and drop-off location for recoveries, and any live location you choose to share on WhatsApp)
- your vehicle's registration, make and model, tyre size and whether it rolls
- details of what has happened and the service you need
- records of our calls and messages with you, the work we carry out, and payments
The forms on this website don't send your details to us directly. When you press Send on WhatsApp, your details are put into a WhatsApp message on your own device, and nothing is sent until you choose to send it.
How we use your information
- to respond to you and get help to you
- to provide the service you asked for, including finding you, fitting tyres, carrying out repairs and recovering your vehicle
- to give you quotes, take payment and issue invoices or receipts
- to deal with questions, complaints or claims about our work
- to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax and accounting records
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Our legal reasons for using your information
- Contract: we need it to give you a quote and provide the service you asked for.
- Legitimate interests: to run our business, keep records of our work and deal with any disputes.
- Legal obligation: to keep financial records and comply with the law.
- Vital interests: in rare cases, to protect someone's safety at the roadside, for example by contacting the emergency services.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to, with:
- technicians and recovery operators who carry out the job for you
- WhatsApp (run by Meta), if you contact us that way
- our phone, payment and accounting providers
- our website host, which processes basic technical information when you visit this website
- the police, insurers or other authorities where the law requires it, or to deal with a claim
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your device's IP address is shared with Google when a page loads.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a job: up to 12 months.
- Job, payment and invoice records: 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
- Information about a complaint or claim: until it's resolved and any time limit for legal action has passed.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add tools such as website analytics in future, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information, or to stop or limit how we use it
